I owe about 50,000 in debt. Through the years I've contemplated filing bankruptcy, and as work isnt steady, I'm looking to file BK this month.
Within this debt, I have past due taxes, and an education loan which is now with a collection agency. As I can not write these debts off, is there a way to negotiate the terms, or maybe even lower the balance so I can get back on track?
My goal is to have a 720+ credit rating. How realistic is this after filing bankruptcy, how long would it take, and what are some things I can do to rapidly increase my score?
