I can't be caught up what should I do?

Question:

I have over $5,000 dollars in medical bills plus my daily expenses; I can't be caught up what should I do?

Answer:

Thank you for your question, Elaine.

From what I read it already sounds like you are behind or delinquent on your payments. At least that's what "can't get caught up" means to me. If this is the case your credit is already taking a beating. My recommendation for you is to stop trying to catch up on the medical bills. It sounds like you are chipping away at it little by little and the $5,000 balance is not going to be going away anytime soon. Stop paying on it and come back to it when you are in a better situation financially in a year or two from now.

Keep in mind, that if you leave it alone and come back to it or continue to chip at it, it will still be there 2-3 years from now. Either way the choice is yours
